stability studies on vertical structures

The main aim of these studies is to establish the degree of stability of vertical structures. If necessary, we can advise on the safety and control measures needed to reduce any structural risks. + info

Vértice Vertical™ technicians can effectively and safely access any part of a vertical structure, with minimal impact, and place the reference markers and take any samples needed for a subsequent stability study.

A structure is a set of parts designed to support various types of stress or load. These elements can be divided into two groups:

  • Mobile elements (rigid or articulated).
  • Positional elements (horizontal or vertical).

The maintenance of vertical structures must take into account the mechanical properties of the materials, and the type of forces to which they will be subjected.

The stability of a vertical structure must also be considered, and this means determining the the centre of gravity and the size of the building’s support base.

  • The centre of gravity is the point where the forces resulting from the sum of the weight of the structure meet. This is established by drawing the medians of each side of the building to find the centroid.
